I listened and cried!

I listened and silently cried on hearing the news of gun attack on primary school kids in Connecticut. Felt a light pain mixed with fear and an urge to go and question the craziest attacker. But alas! He is not here to answer the millions of questions looming in all of our minds.  After 'murdering' 20 young kids, he killed himself…But the question remains that if he had to kill himself then what was the need to wipe out young, bright lives from this earth? And a major question…what was the need to kill Himself? A 20 something, intelligent, rich kid taking a gun and entering a primary school, killing whoever comes in way is beyond anyone's imagination. The incident not only puts the society in dilemma but out rightly asks a question. Are we raising our kids in the right way? Is not this young, bright attacker a slap on our faces? Can we just blame his divorced parents for not giving him right up bringing and being the cause of his frustrations and shun our responsibility?
Second point that comes to my mind on reading this news is a doubt for the place called School, which is considered to be the next Home for our kids. All over the world, parents spend a lot of energy, money, as well as resources to send their kids to the best school. Practically, each one us spends a major portion of our savings on our kids' education and believe that a school is the safest place where we are sending our kids. But tell me frankly, doesn’t this incident leaves a doubt in your mind? Are the schools such an unsafe place where any Tom, Dick, and Harry can enter and do whatever he feels like? America and for that matter any country spends millions on securing its borders from enemies outside but what about the enemies looming inside? I am scared that such incidents will soon bring such times when every mother would be scared to death on letting her child place a step outside the house! Is anyone listening?
